High Academic Marks in Winter Quarter

SEATTLE – Seattle University Athletics completed the winter term of the 2021-22 academic year with high academic marks as 16 teams achieved grade point averages over 3.0 in the term, while Redhawk student athletes recorded a 3.321 GPA.

This marks the ninth consecutive term that the collective student athlete population has recorded above a 3.30 GPA.

Women's golf lead all teams with a collective 3.760 GPA, narrowly edging out women's cross country (3.759) for the top mark in the department. Women's tennis (3.672) and volleyball (3.599) also each compiled GPA's over 3.5 in the quarter.

Men's basketball (3.492), softball (3.458), women's swimming (3.425), men's tennis (3.390), men's cross country (3.342), men's golf (3.339) and women's soccer (3.320) rounded out those above a 3.3 in the term.
 
Rowing (3.280), women's basketball (3.276), men's swimming (3.234), baseball (3.153) and men's soccer (3.102) also performed well in the spring.
 
A total of 52 Redhawks earned a 4.0 GPA for the quarter. Seventy-five student athletes logged at least a 3.9 and 179 had over a 3.5 GPA. Over 75-percent of Redhawk student athletes achived a 3.0 GPA or higher.
